Gardaí in Monaghan have appealed to local motorists to be "cautious" following an outbreak of wild deer along the N54.
In a statement to Northern Sound, Gardaí urged motorists to be aware and mindful of their speed when travelling along the busy stretch of road.
Gardaí revealed that they are working hard along with other authorities to clear the area in a manner that is most safe to motorists and the animals.
The outbreak is close to Monaghan's popular attraction, Rossmore Forest Park, on the main Clones to Monaghan town road.
