Over the weekend, Cavan Roads Policing Unit conducted a number of patrols and checkpoints in the county. A number of motorists were detected speeding and driving while holding a mobile phone.
Gardai say they have issued fines for those motoring offences. Meanwhile, another motorist was discovered driving without insurance.
The driver was subsequently arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He will appear at a district court sitting later this month.
