A motorist was detected driving under the influence of alcohol in Monaghan yesterday morning.
Local Gardai made the detection at a checkpoint in the county in the early hours of the morning.
It also transpired that the driver wasn't insured and had no NCT or tax on the car.

It was taken off the road and the driver now faces a Court appearance.
