A motorist had to be cut from their vehicle following a road traffic accident in Carrickmacross yesterday morning.
Monaghan Fire and Civil Protection responded to the incident at Lossett, Carrickmacross, at around 7.30 am on Sunday, September 5th.
A single car veered off the road and into a deep ravine, making access difficult for the emergency services.
Fire-fighters deployed cutting gear to free the sole occupant from the vehicle.
They were then taken to Hospital by the National Ambulance Service.
A fire crew from Carrickmacross Fire Station attended, alongside Gardaí and the National Ambulance Service.
