Members of the Cavan Roads Policing Unit yesterday detected a vehicle travelling at 146km in the 100km zone on the N3. According to local Gardaí when stopped the driver failed a roadside oral fluid drugs test. This driver was arrested and further tests conducted.
The driver is now charged and before the courts. Gardaí in Co Cavan are encouraging motorists to please "slow down" and to never take drugs and drive vehicles.
