Motorist arrested for drink driving in Ballinagh

The Christmas Road Safety Campaign has continued locally this week with another arrest. During the week members of the Cavan Roads Policing Unit were on patrol on the N55. According to local Gardaí, when in the Ballinagh area, their attention was drawn to the erratic driving of one motorist.

This driver was subsequently stopped and found to be in an intoxicated state. Testing at Cavan Garda Station confirmed that the driver was over the legal limit. This person has now been charged and is due to appear in Court.
