A motorist has been arrested in Co Cavan for failing a drugs test and giving a false name to gardaí.
Early on Sunday morning, the Cavan Roads Policing Unit was on patrol in the Crosskeys area.
They stopped a vehicle, and the motorist gave gardaí a false name.
The motorist then failed a roadside drugs test and showed positive for opiates.
He was arrested and has a court case to follow.
Elsewhere in the county, a van driver was found to be without insurance, CVRT or tax.
The van has been taken off the road and a court case is now pending.
