More drivers choosing EVs in Cavan and Monaghan

There's been an increase in the number of electric car registrations in Cavan and Monaghan.

According to SIMI, 36 new electric car were registered in Cavan in January, compared to 20 last year. This is an increase of 80 per cent year on year - the biggest increase nationally.

In Monaghan, 29 new electric cars were registered last month, an increase of 61 per cent on the same time last year. Only Longford and Wicklow saw a drop in electric car registrations this year.
