A month-long fundraiser in memory of a Shercock athlete gets underway today.
The Craig Lynch for Life Challenge will see people take up exercise for the next 30 days, to mark what would have been the year he turned 30.
The Cavan sprinter, who represented Ireland in the 2016 European Games, died in a single-vehicle collision near Kells in September last year.
People are being asked to do any form of physical activity for the month of September, and share any sporting memories they have of Craig.
The fundraiser will help raise money for an indoor facility for Shercock Athletic Club, whose track was described as “a second home for Craig throughout his life”.
