Monaghan's incidence rate has risen above Cavan's after 41 cases were confirmed in the county yesterday.
The incidence rate in Monaghan has now exceeded 200 and is at 213.4, a jump from 148.2 on Monday.
Over a 14 day period the county has had 131 new cases and the rate is the 5th highest in the country.
While Cavan is 9th from the top nationally the incidence rate has jumped also at is at 183.8 up from 177.2 on Monday.
There were 6 cases confirmed there yesterday and Monday with 140 cases overall in the last 14 days.
