Celebrating the day Northern Sound spoke to world boxing champion Christina McMahon about the role of women in sport.
The Carrickmacross native says there is lots more opportunities out there for women especially in sports or becoming entrepreneurs.

She said at long last women are acknowledged a lot more than they would have been previously and the same recognition is been given to them as their male counterparts.
The Monaghan boxer says that you hear lots of bad things about social media but it is nice seeing so much about women's achievements being shared on social media platforms.
