The Chief Executive at Monaghan County Council is set to retire from his position on the 16th of December.
Eamonn O'Sullivan who is County Wicklow native is set to retire due to health reasons.
The announcement was made by acting CE Patricia Monaghan at Decembers Monaghan Council monthly meeting.

Eamonn took up the CE position in January 2016.
Tributes were made by all councillors in attendance at the monthly meeting yesterday afternoon.
He is being described as a real people person and over the 6 years took to his role with passion.

Cllr Colm Carthy was one of the councillors that wished Eamonn the very best in his retirement.
