60 children from local schools came together to make Monaghan a better place for biodiversity.
Last Friday saw Monaghan's first ever Youth Biodiversity Conference taking place where children from 8 primary and secondary schools across the county got involved. A full day ensued which saw the children partake in a day of talks on biodiversity topics, hands-on interactive sessions, outdoor sessions, and an art graffiti wall. The day culminated in a live owl and raptor show to finish the day. According to the organisers the children's participation was exemplary and they clearly had lots to say about biodiversity in Monaghan.
