A Monaghan woman is urging motorists to expect the unexpected when they get behind the wheel.
There have been several fatalities on local roads in recent weeks and Shania Smith was involved in an accident last month.
She and her boyfriend were enjoying a late-night drive and were travelling below the speed limit when they hit a wet patch on the road.
The vehicle ended up on its roof, and though Shania sustained a lot of bruising from the seat belt, she says it saved her life.
