A Monaghan woman is planning to walk with Charlie Bird in memory of her late husband who died of Motor Neurone Disease.
Mary Conway's husband, Brian, was diagnosed with MND at the beginning of 2021, at the height of the covid pandemic.
She says the inability to visit him in the hospital when he was being tested for the disease was very traumatic.
Brian passed away in May and Mary said it was "unbelievable" to see her "strong, hard-working" husband develop the disease.
On Saturday, April 2nd, Charlie Bird will climb Croagh Patrick in aid of the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association and Pieta House.
