A Monaghan woman living in Italy says the country is recovering well after being badly hit by Covid last year.
The virus spread through Italy at the start of 2020 before making it to the rest of Europe, with the county seen as one of first places to have high rates of transmission.
Originally from Monaghan, businesswoman Kate Macklin now lives in Parma and had previously spoke of how Ireland needed to heed the warnings that were seen in other parts of Europe during the early parts of the pandemic.
However, speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound over one year later, Kate says the situation has improved greatly since the first wave.
