A Monaghan woman has been elected to the national body of Conradh na Gaelige.
Conradh na Gaelige promotes the Irish language worldwide, and Leah Ní Mhurchú will take up a position within the organisation.
Leah is an Irish language activist who does a lot of work in promoting the language online and via social media.
She is a past pupil of Colaiste Oiriall and Seán Ó Murchadh, the Cathaoirleach of Muineachán le Gaeilge, says this is where Leah developed her passion for the Irish language.
