The Chair of the Monaghan Town Team says free parking is encouraging people to get back to spending time in local shops.
Pay parking was suspended in March as a gesture towards the frontline staff who were working through the pandemic.

A recent Monaghan MD meeting heard the local authority is set to lose discretionary funding because of the lost income.
