The Monaghan Town Local Electoral Area has the highest incidence rate of Covid-19 in the region.
Figures released show the rate of infection in the Northern Sound Region between the 12th and 25th of January.
400 cases were recorded in the Monaghan Local electoral areas between these dates leaving it with an incidence rate of 1,762.
Next to that was the Ballybay Clones electoral area with a rate of 1,501 after 259 cases.
The Carrickmacross- Castleblayney LEA has recorded the lowest incidence rate with 1,324 and 284 cases.
Meanwhile in Cavan, between the same dates, the Bailieborough Cootehill electoral area saw 195 cases and the highest incidence rate in the county at 798.7, with Ballyjamesduff just slightly behind on 794 after 205 cases.
The Cavan Belturbet LEA now has the lowest incidence across both counties in the region at 585, with 152 confirmed cases.
The three areas in Co Monaghan are among the country's six worst regions for 14-day incidence rates of Covid-19 nationally.
Belmullet local electoral area in Co Mayo had the highest rate, at 2,008 per 100,000 people, as of Monday.
Monaghan LEA had the second worst, while Ballybay-Clones and Carrickmacross-Castleblayney had the fourth and sixth.
