The Monaghan Town Business Awards are set to return later this week following a hiatus of five years.
The prestigious awards are created to recognise the achievements of local businesses and reward them for their commitment to excellence and customer service.
The black tie event which takes place in The Hillgrove on Thursday aims to raise the profile of the Monaghan Municipal District and inject pride and confidence amongst employees and businesses, including the start-up industry.
Winners will have the opportunity to publicly display their awards and enjoy increased sales through related advertising.
There are lots of awards up for offer under a range of categories for the public voting system which saw over 17,000 people have their say on what businesses in the town deserve the accolade in their category.
This event is coordinated by the Monaghan Town Team and co-chairperson is Emily Treanor and she says there is great excitement in the town ahead of the awards this Thursday.
