The Monaghan Town Business Awards returned last night following a hiatus of five years.
The prestigious awards are created to recognise the achievements of local businesses and reward them for their commitment to excellence and customer service.
The black tie event took place in The Hillgrove with the aim to raise the profile of the Monaghan Municipal District and inject pride and confidence amongst employees and businesses, including the start-up industry.
Winners will have the opportunity to publicly display their awards and enjoy increased sales through related advertising. There are lots of awards up for offer under a range of categories for the public voting system which saw over 17,000 people have their say on what businesses in the town deserve the accolade in their category.
Monaghan Town Team and co-chairperson April Barker Dinkin says the awards have gone from strength to strength and it wonderful to see so many involved.
