Monaghan Town Bus Station 'not fit for purpose and hasn't been for years'

Monaghan Town's Bus Station "isn't fit for purpose and hasn't been for a number of years".

Local councillor David Maxwell adds that there have been issues with Bus Éireann in Co Monaghan for the past 15 years.

Bus Éireann recently issued an apology for "some poor customer experiences" after Councillor Maxwell highlighted photos he had seen that shown excrement on the doors of the toilets in the Monaghan Bus Station.

However, speaking on The Joe Finnegan Show, Councillor Maxwell claimed that these problems had yet to be rectified.

He added that Bus Éireann is aware of issues in Monaghan but "nothing seems to be done about it":
