A Monaghan town based electrical contractor has announced the creation of 100 new jobs across Ireland.
MDE Installations is expanding its workforce as part of a National Framework Contract.
It's just over a year since the MDE offices were opened in Monaghan town, with the company already employing 30 office based staff and 60 electricians in the field.
The company is looking to hire 100 qualified electricians from the border and midlands area before Christmas.
Positions are also being created to join the office team.
Minister Heather Humphreys, who opened the offices as the then Enterprise Minister, said it represents a great opportunity for any electrician to secure employment at a time when Covid-19 has made finding work much more difficult.
