A Monaghan student says "blended learning" is the only way schools can reopen next month.
Niko Kawonczyk is an incoming 6th year student at St Macartan's College and the Secretary of Monaghan Ógra Fianna Fáil.
He said the majority of concerns about returning to school would be solved by having part of the teaching carried out online.
He said Education Minister Norma Foley has done "a great job so far" in providing funding and clarity to ensure the schools reopen safely in September.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound, Niko outlined how he'd see "blended learning" working.
