A Monaghan student who has faced racial discrimination hopes her generation will be able to overcome racism.
Fealan McCabe is a Monaghan native but her grandparents grew up in Trinidad and Belize.
Fealan says she sometimes felt like “the odd one out” growing up, and was often the only person of colour at school.
She says many people have used racial slurs against her and she had to learn how to fight back from an early age.
