Monaghan student 'can't wait' to represent Ireland at tech competition in China

His team, Anaphero, comprising of five Irish students emerged as the regional champion and will advance to the prestigious Tech4Good global final in China, slated for early next year.

A Monaghan student was part of a winning team Ireland at a European final.
Tiarnan O'Rourke from Monaghan who is studying Actuarial and Financial studies at University College Dublin was among the 10 successful students who represented Ireland at the Huawei European Seeds for the Future Project.

His team, Anaphero, comprising of five Irish students emerged as the regional champion and will advance to the prestigious Tech4Good global final in China, slated for early next year.
Their project centred around a wearable device that instantly alerts parents and caregivers when a child shows early signs of anaphylactic shock through sensors.
Speaking after the event, Tiarnan says it was a fantastic experience and he can't wait to visit Shenzen and represent Ireland on the global stage.
