A Monaghan Student has been appointed Student Ambassador at St Patrick's Pontifical University, Maynooth.
Jack Yore from Carrickmacross is a former student of Inver College, Monaghan.
Speaking in relation to his new appointment, Jack said his time in St Patrick's has helped "mold" him into the person he is today.
With classmates and staff from every corner of the globe, Jack revealed that he became "more aware" of the world around him and wanted to introduce this invaluable experience to incoming students.
Ambassadors like the Carrickmacross native are a vital link for incoming students, assisting with orientation activities, providing campus tours and being on hand with advice and recommendations on how best to transition from second level into life at university.
Jack added that he las learned "invaluable skills" from his time at St Patrick's, which he hopes to use in every aspect of his life in the future.
