There has been a low up take on a number of schemes that were introduced by the Government to assist people and businesses through the cost of living crisis.
That's according to Senator Robbie Gallagher who says the Temporary Business Energy Support Scheme and the €500 tax credit for renters in private accommodation are the most impacted.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound this week, the Monaghan Senator says he is eager to see more people engage with the State offerings.
He highlighted how those applying for the TBESS would be in a position to claim for 40% of the increases in their energy bills.
Senator Gallagher added that tenants who discovered their landlords were not registered when seeking the €500 tax credit initially can now apply despite that status.
