Monaghan had the second lowest number of covid cases over the last two weeks in the country.
The county has steadily fallen from having the highest rate in the country to having one of the lowest.
Cavan, meanwhile, has seen a slight increase in its rates over recent weeks.
County Monaghan recorded 30 Covid cases over the past 14 days, the second lowest in the country after Leitrim.
The latest data also shows the Ballybay-Clones local electoral area has the lowest rate of Covid in the Northern Sound region, with 41 cases per 100,000 people recorded.
That's followed by the Monaghan LEA with a rate of 57.3.
The Carrickmacross-Castleblayney area has the highest rate in the county at 70.
Cavan has slightly higher rates than Monaghan after it's seen an increasing number of cases in recent weeks.
It's recorded 74 cases over the last two weeks.
The Ballyjamesduff LEA has a rate of 58 cases per 100,000, followed by the Bailieborough-Cootehill area at 61.
The Cavan-Belturbet area has the highest rate in the region at 158 - more than twice the next highest local area.
