Monaghan publicans protesting outside the Dáil today met with Taoiseach Micháel Martin.
Brian Reneghan a publican from Clontibret has traveled to Dublin with a 30 foot truck and signage to call for action from the government, saying 'enough is enough'.
He says the situation is particularly damaging for those in the border region as many of their customers are travelling across to pubs in Northern Ireland which have reopened.
While a protest has been organised for next week, Brian says they cannot wait any longer, and will be outside everyday if they have to in order to earn a living once again.
