A Monaghan egg-processor has announced it's to take over a Cavan company.
In a statement to its producers on Tuesday, The Nest Box Egg Company in Castleblayney told suppliers the move to acquire Clonarn Clover Ltd. is 'a progressive and exciting investment'.
Clonarn, run by the Farrelly family from Mullagh, have had free range eggs on the market for almost thirty years and are the third largest supplier of free range eggs in the Republic.
The Nest Box Egg Company already processes over three million eggs a year after being set up in 1999.
