Rethink Ireland has elected Monaghan native Áine Kerr as Chair of its Board of Directors. Award-winning entrepreneur, Ms Kerr is one of a number of people regarded as "ground-breaking" in their fields of expertise, who are joining the organisation.
Their focus will be on leading positive social change through innovation. Ms Kerr said she was "honoured" to be elected chair of the board and she is looking forward to leading it through the next stage of growth and impact.
She added, that, social innovation is an exciting growth area that's central to positive change and solving immediate issues in society, and it's a movement she feels privileged to be part of. "I am honoured to be elected Chair of the board at Rethink Ireland.
"Social innovation is an exciting growth area that's central to positive change and solving immediate issues in our society. It is a privilege to be part of this movement. Rethink Ireland is now seven-years-old and I look forward to contributing to this and leading the Board through the next stage of growth and impact," she said.
Meanwhile, Rethink Ireland provides cash grants and business supports to charities and social enterprises working in Irish communities across the country, partnering with companies, families, individuals, foundations and the Irish Government.
