Mandy Kelly said she plans to meet with the Egyptian Ambassador to Ireland next week.

Mandy Kelly, a Monaghan mother who is continuing to fight for the return of her two boys, is hopeful a Red Notice for her ex husband will be issued shortly.

Ms Kelly was on holiday in Cairo, Egypt, almost three years ago when her husband locked her in an apartment and took the children away in a car. In August, Mandy was given full custody of her children in a landmark case while a police search began in Eygpt as the children and their father had gone missing.

The court in Cairo ruled in Mandy Kelly's favour and that Zayn, who is six and three year old Kareem, should be returned to her immediately. Speaking on the Wider View today she said that she plans to meet with the Egyptian Ambassador to Ireland next week.

She also revealed that she has made contact with the new justice minister in relation to her case. Mandy says the last three years has been like living a nightmare but she says she is as confident as ever that she will win and have her children returned to her.
