A Monaghan man’s screenplay is set to be turned into a big-budget film starring Liam Neeson.
Mark McNally’s screenplay is set in a rural Ireland and follows a retired assassin who gets himself drawn into a lethal game of cat and mouse with a trio of vengeful terrorists.
Liam Neeson has been cast at the assassin and Belfast actor Ciarán Hinds will also star in the upcoming film, titled “In the Land of Saints and Sinners”.
Filming is due to begin in March of next year.
Mark says he’s on “cloud nine” and added that Liam Neeson’s involvement has pushed the project from a small-budget feature to a big-screen film.
He told The Wider View that it’s now up to the director, actors, and film crew to bring the script to life:
