A Monaghan man has welcomed the return of this year's Knock Novena, which will take place from this Sunday.
Paul McCarthy from Ballybay described the traditional event, as the "greatest apparition" to Our Lady of Knock in any part of the world.
The national Novena will run from this Sunday until August 22nd, with more than 8,000 people expected to attend the shrine each day following a three-year break due to the Covid pandemic.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show, the Monaghan native said he was "looking forward" to the upcoming event.
