A Monaghan man says his snail-slime based skin care products are proof of the power of natural remedies.
Kieran Corley is the founder of Bragan Skincare, which uses the slime from his farmed snails to create moisturisers and creams.
The use of snails for skin care dates back to Roman times and is also recognised as a cure for warts.
The slime is extracted using a specialist machine, and each snail can be harvested three times in a year.
Kieran told Northern Sound that business has been anything but sluggish, and customers have been using his creams for a variety of conditions.
