A Co Monaghan man will feature tonight across national TV screens as part of RTÉ's First Dates Ireland show.
45-year old personal Trainer, Colm McEneaney who hails from Carrickmacross took part in the popular show to try something new and take himself out of his comfort zone.
Fitness fanatic Colm from Carrickmacross has been paired up, 33 year old Daniel from Wexford who says he is tired of his mum trying to set him up on dates.
Colm applied for the dating show a short time after seeing a post about it on his social media feed online. He says it was a fun experience and all the people working with RTE were so nice and helped us all throughout the whole process.
Colm says as a gay man there is slim pickings when it comes to finding Mr Right in a rural town like Carrickmacross. The local man is encouraging others to just go for it in life and to always be prepared to take a gamble.
