A County Monaghan Liverpool fan says he'd welcome Government support after fans were assaulted ahead of Saturday's Champion's League final.
Thousands travelled to Paris to see their team take on Real Madrid, but were met by French riot police, who closed down access to the stadium and used pepper spray on supporters.
French officials and UEFA then falsely claimed the delayed kick off was caused by fans turning up late.
Monaghan's David Moen was at the match with friends from Donegal and said pick pocketers were also targeting fans.
He told Northern Sound that the Department of Foreign Affairs should step in.
