Monaghan Integrated Development is one of eleven projects in the southern border counties and Northern Ireland to be included in the latest round of funding from the International Fund for Ireland.
The initiative is aimed at supporting them to deliver peace and reconciliation efforts in local communities.
The funding forms part of an €801,925 funding package from the IFI aimed at supporting local projects to deliver vital peace building and community relations initiatives.
The project, which received funding of €116,615 for a period of 18 months will operate in the Monaghan and South Armagh border areas.
The project will work across the areas of Carrickmacross - Donaghmoyne, Kilanny, Mullaghrafferty and Inniskeen in Monaghan along with areas of South Armagh - Crossmaglen, Cullyhanna and Newtownhamilton.
Chair of the IFI, Paddy Harte welcomed the latest allocation of funding saying supporting people working in their local communities consistently demonstrate their ability to understand and address the needs of their local area, "We are seeing more projects identifying innovative and creative opportunities for engagement and dialogue between communities, encouraging cooperation and relationship building."
