A Monaghan hotelier is taking part in a sleep out tonight as part of Focus Ireland's "Shine a Light" campaign.
Focus Ireland has moved over 500 families out of homelessness since the covid-19 pandemic began, and tonight's sleep out will raise funds to help Focus Ireland's services.
In previous years, Castle Leslie's owner Sammy Leslie would sleep out in Dublin with the Castle Leslie team, but this year she will be sleeping alone in her back garden as part of the fundraiser.
The campaign has already raised €700,000 and Focus Ireland aims to raise €1.3 million through the sleepout.
People can donate via the Focus Ireland website, but Sammy Leslie explained how people in Monaghan can also contribute in person in a covid-friendly way:
