Monaghan has the lowest uptake of the covid-19 vaccine in the country.
Figures obtained by the Irish Independent reveal that as of a week ago, 81.9% of adults over the age of 18 have obtained a vaccine.
The national average is 91.9%.
Cavan's vaccine uptake is greater, but still below the national average, at 88.6%.
The uptake is highest in Waterford, where 98.5 % of adults have been vaccinated.
Over the weekend, 271 people across Cavan and Monaghan availed of their first dose of a covid-19 vaccine in walk-in clinics in the Hotel Kilmore and Glencarne Hotel.
Monaghan has the highest 14-day incidence rate of the virus, while Cavan has the third-highest incidence rate.
