A Monaghan GP says local people took responsibility to bring the spread of Covid-19 under control.
For a number of months Co. Monaghan had the highest incidence rate of the virus, however it's now trending downwards.
Dr Aideen Brides says there was an influx of referrals since schools returned, but the vast majority of tests were returned negative.

She says there are other illnesses going around and the vast majority of people have been erring on the side of caution.
