A number of crimes were reported by Gardaí in both and Cavan and Monaghan over the last number of days.

A sum of cash, along with four fishing rods, were among the items taken.

Elsewhere, Gardaí are investigating an incident of criminal damage to a Monaghan town National School.

The incidents occurred in the early hours of Sunday.
