Monaghan fire services were required last night to put out a fire at an agricultural premises in Clones.
The fire service crew were supported by a water tanker, and Monaghan's chief fire officer said it "took some time to put the fire out".
There are wildfire warnings in place both sides of the border this weekend as hot, dry and breezy weather leaves the countryside parched.
Monaghan's Chief Fire Officer Dermot Brannigan said people need to be mindful that "it doesn't take a lot for a fire to start" during warm spells.
