A Monaghan based electrical firm has been given the go ahead to construct a new, almost 6,000 sq m premise at a greenfield site as part of a major expansion plan for the business.
Monaghan Electrical Wholesale Limited applied last September to Monaghan County Council in a bid to construct a 5,755sq m wholesale and warehouse unit at Annahagh, in Monaghan The firm has operated for over 40 years servicing both Irish and international markets. In giving the green light last month, the local authority said it was satisfied, following a request for further information submitted last December, to grant planning subject to a number of conditions.
Among the 14 conditions includes a requirement for the applicant to pay almost €80,000 in combined development contributions.
