James McGrath's fundraising initiative 'Dance For Lucy' included a ten-hour 'danceathon' to raise money to build a school in memory of his mum Lucia.

A fundraising initiative set up by a Co Monaghan resident has been shortlisted for a prestigious Pride of Britain Award. James McGrath of the popular JivinGym is originally from Armagh but now lives in Monaghan with his wife and baby daughter. James' fundraising initiative 'Dance For Lucy' included a ten-hour 'danceathon' to raise money to build a school in memory of his mum Lucia who passed away from Alzheimer's and Dementia at the age of 60.

In an online post, James "thanked" those who nominated 'Dance For Lucy'. He also paid tribute to those who helped raise the money to build two schools in Africa and seven wells providing clean water for 2,000 people.

James is also calling on dancers to appear in the short documentary that will be aired on television. Those interested are encouraged to attend the Stevey J Hub in Armagh today from 10am to 1pm.
