Monaghan Culture Night takes place this Friday the 23rd of September and there is a jam-packed line up of events for young and old to enjoy.
The night will include indoor and outdoor activities countywide and will celebrate the rich culture and heritage that is evident in Co Monaghan.
Deirdriu McQuaid is the Senior Executive Librarian with Monaghan County Council and she told Northern Sound that events on the night will include everything from drive-in movies and exhibitions to exploration of the numerous cultural gems that are often not so evident, as well as much, much more.
Ms McQuaid says the Night is about promoting cultural centres and opening up opportunities for people of all ages. She added that because there are so many "hidden gems" across the county, Culture Night provides the planform on which to showcase all of that.
"This is an opportunity also for artists and creative practitioner across the county. It also provides an A-Z of what it is they do," she added.
