Creche fees in Co Cavan are higher than in Co Monaghan, with monthly costs in the Breffni county ranging from €700 to €800.
The charges are for full-day creche care. The investigation found there's a €1,200 gap between the cheapest and most expensive creches in Ireland, ranging from €340 in Monaghan to nearly €1,600 in south Dublin.
