Monaghan County Museum wants to provide a "shared space" for different cultures across local communities through new funding.
Earlier today, the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, announced a series of small grants for local and regional museums.
As a result, Monaghan County Museum has been awarded €15,0000 for exhibition cases for the museum's new site at the Peace Campus, Monaghan.
Speaking on Today's Wider View, curator of Monaghan County Museum Liam Bradley, "welcomed" the funding announcement.
He believes the story from his perspective of growing up in Monaghan "hasn't been told," and that's not so much about the Troubles but the experience of someone growing up in the border lands.
