A Monaghan councillor is seeking a meeting with Minister Heather Humphreys to discuss the "termination" of the N2 Clontibret to the Border project.
Yesterday, Sean Conlon passed a motion calling on Minister Humphreys to meet with Monaghan County Council around a range of local issues, including the N2 scheme.
While the Ardee to Castleblayney part of the scheme remains on track after a recent one million euro allocation, the Clontibret to the Border section of road was one of a number of projects to be stalled by the TII.
Councillors were also informed at yesterday's meeting that delay costs and termination costs would now be incurred.
Speaking on Northern Sound, Sean Conlon called on Minister Humphreys to raise the issue at Cabinet level:
